Palm Beach International Boat Show returns with new features

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The highly anticipated Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) has returned, and this year, it promises to be bigger than ever.

The PBIBS said that since its inception in 1982, this event has become a key attraction in Palm Beach County, drawing visitors from across the country and boosting the local economy.

The 2025 Boat Show will showcase a collection of yachts valued at over $1.2 billion, featuring everything from small 8-foot inflatables to luxurious superyachts that reach nearly 300 feet in length.

Majesty Yachts gave CBS12 News' Stefany Valderrama a tour of their Majesty 120, marking the U.S. debut for the superyacht. The 123' boat features an open galley, ice bar, jacuzzi and more. Plus, its lightweight reduces its draft, which makes it easier to navigate the Caribbean and Bahamas, the company said.

Another Look at the Superyacht

According to PBIBS, new features are planned for this year, including extending it to five-days, the introduction of a Superyacht Show at Palm Harbor, and a greater variety of boats than ever before.

The show said that last year, the event attracted more than 55,000 attendees, generating a stunning $725 million in revenue for the region.

Another Yacht

CBS12 got to take a look inside an $11.32 million Princess Yacht, which is their Y-80 model. The boat features a sundeck, kitchen, a large living room, cabins and much more.

Princess Yachts told us that they are celebrating their 60th anniversary at the boat show this year.

The show will begin on Wednesday at 12 p.m. and continue until Sunday at 5 p.m. located at along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach.
